Chen and Yang style Tai Chi, taught by Master Han Jin Song, founder of Tai Chi Australia. Slow, continuous movement for balance, joint mobility, leg strength and a quieter mind. No experience needed, and no level of fitness assumed.
Enrol in the Tai Chi term →A practice, not a workout. Tai Chi is a sequence of slow, continuous movements performed with the muscles and joints relaxed, the mind quiet but alert. The legs act as the base, the waist as the axis, and the whole body moves as one. Though the pace is slow, every part of the body stays in motion.
Developed as a martial art and used in China for centuries to maintain health, it works on balance and joint mobility in a way few other practices do — which is why doctors and physiotherapists so often recommend it. It is part of a longer practice of longevity, built one session at a time.
Anyone can do it, at any age and any level of fitness. You should finish a session feeling relaxed and refreshed, not exerted. Find out more about the course →

Founder and Chief Instructor of Tai Chi Australia. Disciple of Grand Master Chen Xiaowang, 19th generation keeper of Chen style Tai Chi. Former Head Coach of the Australian National Wushu/Tai Chi Team.
The largest review of its kind, drawing on 1,744 randomised controlled trials and published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, found high certainty evidence that tai chi eases pain, improves sleep and mental health, and increases bone density in osteopenia and osteoporosis. The benefits were greatest with regular, sustained practice: three sessions a week, over six months or more. A ten-week beginners course is where that practice starts.
